Naturally Grand

GRAND, Naturally

That’s my friend hugging a tree. Yes, she really love trees

The photo above was that of a humongous tree we found a top Mount Maculot in Batangas. It was probably my third time to hike up a mountain. It was super tiring but it such an exhilarating experience. This tree was not the biggest one we saw but I just thought the formation of the branches was quite beautiful, random but still well-formed.

There are a lot of big things in nature. It is curious how the word “BIG” translates to “GRAND” in french. Well, nature is certainly grand.

It suddenly struck me that tiny pea, pretty and blue, was the Earth. I put up my thumb and shut one eye, and my thumb blotted out the planet Earth. I didn’t feel like a giant. I felt very, very small.
